Sandy initially studied in the UK at the Sylvia Brearley School of Therapy in Harrogate and gained an ITEC qualifications in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage before going onto York College to obtain an ICHT diploma in Aromatherapy.

With the desire to broaden her complemetary therapy skills Sandy then obtained a further ICHT diploma in Indian head massage in March 2003 and an ICHT diploma in reflexology in 2004 before emigrating to New Zealand.
